Course Name Arabic Level XII Date 12 January-14 December 2015 Aim The aim of the course is to enable participants to be independent users of the language and to use the Arabic language confdently in formal and informal situations. Rationale Arabic language is one of the major languages of the world, and mastering the language will help towards a better understanding of the Arabic culture and people. It is also vital in the expansion of business and building of relationship and as a tool of communication among Arabic speaking communities. Knowledge of the language too, can instil a better understanding of the Islamic religion through the reading of Al Quran and Sunnah. Target Group This course is opened to all Malaysian government offcers. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, participants should be able: U To express their opinion in the target language; U To read long and complicated texts; U To understand speeches; 60 U To enquire for information; and U To write messages. Course Methodology The participants will learn through classroom activities using textbooks and audiovisual materials, group interactions and practice sessions in the language laboratory.
