Course Name Arabic Level I Date 14 January-5 June 2015 Aim The aim of the course is to equip participants with the ability to differentiate and pronounce Arabic sounds and understand basic sentences for daily needs. Rationale Arabic language is one of the major languages of the world, and mastering the language will help towards a better understanding of the Arabic culture and people. Knowledge of the language too, can instil a better understanding of the Islamic religion through the reading of Al Quran and Sunnah. Target Group This course is opened to all Malaysian government offcers. Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, participants should be able: U To read and understand simple sentences; U To greet and introduce oneself; and U To write simple texts. Course Methodology 64 The participants will learn through classroom activities using textbooks and audiovisual materials, group interactions and practice sessions in the language laboratory.
