The Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) successfully organised a rejuvenating retreat for its personnel on November 18-19, 2023. Led by the Corporate Affairs Section, this two-day event was held at the serene Thistle Port Dickson Resort. The event engaged all IDFR personnel and was a strategic initiative aimed at fostering team unity and bonding among IDFR personnel.

The retreat began with a lively session of ice-breaking activities, group dynamics and dinner session that aimed to encourage effective communication and highlight the diverse skill sets as well as to enhance the wellbeing of IDFR team.

The second day of the retreat focuses into substantive discussions and planning for the upcoming year. Each Centres of IDFR reviewed their planned initiatives, events, strategic directions, and budget requirement. This session not only offered transparency regarding the institute's future trajectory but also allowed for constructive feedback, ensuring that the forthcoming planning have a significant positive impact. In conclusion, the participants of the retreat programme departed feeling more recharged and better prepared to face year 2024.
