SUK Visit and CSR Programme

SUKCSR2023 main

The DiD 2023 cohort visited Sarawak for their SUK Visit module from 26-28 June 2023. The first day began with a meeting with YB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister. The second day brought an unforgettable dinner with Mejar Jeneral YBhg. Dato’ Reizal Arif, Chief of Staff, Army Field Command East who was charismatic and shared insightful experiences. On the third day, participants paid courtesy calls on key figures like YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Ambassador Zakaria Nasir, shedding light on Sarawak's Post COVID-19 Development Strategy. Engaging discussions on sustainable energy, tourism, and good governance unfolded, emphasising the importance of continuous collaboration for a thriving society.

On the last day of the official visit, DiD participants gave back to the community through a CSR program in SK Sebobok, Bau. Sunshine and smiles greeted the participants after a 2-hour bus ride to the primary school in Bau. Barring boxes of new books for the students, participants spent the morning beautifying and further enriching the school library. Participants also had the chance to meet and hand over new bags and stationery to the students.
