IDFR has held a three-day course, named the Course on the International Front Series 1/2023, from 5-7 July 2023, in Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the Public Service Department. 20 participants from the Public Service Department; Ministry of Economy; Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development; Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security; Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; Ministry of Higher Education; Ministry of Local Government Development; Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living; Ministry of Defence; Ministry of Rural and Regional Development; and Prime Minister's Department, had attended this course.
This course was designed to provide exposure to the participants on the work undertaken by the Ministry’s International Division. Apart from international relations and diplomatic practices, participants were also exposed to the cross-cultural understanding and cultural diplomacy, managerial skills, and diplomatic etiquette. Each course content was proficiently delivered by subject matter experts and senior government officials.
Participants were engaged actively in discussions and group interactive sessions throughout the course. At the end of the course, former Malaysian Ambassador, Datuk Zainal Abidin Bakar had a sharing session on his experience as a Senior Diplomat followed by closing remarks by YBrs.
