The French Language Basic Communication Course was conducted from 20 February to 7 March 2024. This course has been attended by twenty-four (24) participants from diverse ministries and agencies. They were from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Parliament of Malaysia, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, the Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia (AGC), the Istana Kerajaan Negeri Sembilan and the MARA Technological University (UiTM).
With a schedule of 12 contact hours every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, the course was tailored to emphasize the phonological and morphological aspects involving listening and speaking skills in French. This course aims to provide the participants with effective basic communication skills in French.
Notably, the commitment and enthusiasm exhibited by all participants during the six (6) online sessions through Google Meet were remarkable. Hence, the participants found the courses highly effective, and they could actively engage in various interactive activities. Overall, the French Language Basic Communication Course succeeded in providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, fostering both linguistic competence and cultural understanding among its diverse group of participants.
