The German Language Basic Communication Course was conducted from 20 February to 7 March 2024. This course has been attended by fifteen (15) participants from diverse ministries and agencies. They were from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the Department of Fisheries Malaysia, the Prime Minister Department, the National Audit Department, the Parliament of Malaysia, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Department of Chemistry Malaysia and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia.
With a schedule of 12 contact hours every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, the course was tailored to provide a great chance for all participants to achieve a basic level of German Language communication in order to carry out their everyday situations and related responsibilities in general work field. It is also to emphasize the phonological and morphological aspects involving listening and speaking skills in German.
Notably, the commitment and enthusiasm exhibited by all participants during the 6 online sessions through Google Meet were remarkable. Hence, the participants found the courses highly effective, and they could actively engage in various interactive activities. Overall, the German Language Basic Communication Course succeeded in providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, fostering both linguistic competence and cultural understanding among its diverse group of participants.
