The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has greatly influenced the trends in modern-day international relations. While diplomacy in the past focused mainly on interaction between states at the bilateral and multilateral levels, diplomacy of today is increasingly involving around the interaction with non-state actors through the use of digital and social media. In connection to this, effective public diplomacy activities and media skills are considered a requirement to enable effective promotion and better understanding of Malaysia’s foreign policy and Malaysia’s interests both regionally and internationally.
