Given the complexity due to the globalisation of the world economy today, the role of diplomats therefore has become more significant and diverse; demanding them to have a strong negotiating skills and a business sense at the same time; convincing foreign investors; knowing how to balance the national economic interest and international trade opportunities; all in the spirit of advancing best national economic interests.
This course will be relevant to junior and mid-career diplomats and government officers whose tasks and functions are related to diplomacy, international relations, trade and finance. They must fulfill the following criteria:
✵ Nominated by their respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs/Trade/ Finance
✵ Below 38 years of age
✵ Three or more years of working experience in international affairs/relations or international trade
✵ Have a basic university degree 2018 Prospectus 25
✵ Proficient in the English Language
✵ Medically fit
✵ Able to work independently and in groups
