The French Language Course comprising Series 1 from 23 May to 8 August 2023 and Series 2 from 5 September to 23 November 2023 respectively, has attracted participants from diverse ministries and agencies. In the first series, the 26 participants who enrolled were from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister’s Department, the Ministry of Human Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Istana Kerajaan Negeri Sembilan and the Mines Excellence Golf Resort Berhad.
In the second series, there were 18 participants who were from the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia, the Prime Minister’s Department, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Ministry of Rural Development, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, the National University of Malaysia (UKM), PETRONAS, and BERNAMA.
With a schedule of 42 contact hours every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, the course was tailored to furnish participants with essential linguistic and cultural skills. The program aimed at enhancing language proficiency through a comprehensive focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The structured approach, interactive methodologies, and emphasis on cultural understanding make it a valuable resource for individuals seeking to enhance their language proficiency and broaden their horizons in the French-speaking countries.
Notably, the commitment and enthusiasm exhibited by all participants during the 21 online sessions were remarkable. These two series of courses were both conducted through Google Meet. Hence, the participants found the courses highly effective, facilitating easy integration into their schedules after working hours, and they could actively engage in various interactive activities. Overall, the French Language Course Series 1 and Series 2 succeeded in providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, fostering both linguistic competence and cultural understanding among its diverse group of participants.
