A dinner talk by YBhg. Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari, Director General of IDFR, with the participants of the Diploma in Public Management (Diploma Pengurusan Awam / DPA) was held at 8.30pm on 14th March 2012 at the Multipurpose Hall, National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) Bukit Kiara. The dinner talk was attended by IDFR Deputy Director General, YBhg. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. A. Karim, INTAN Senior Deputy Director, YBhg. Dr. Ab. Wahab Che Mat, IDFR and INTAN officers and 430 participants of DPA. The event was the highlight of the International Relations Module which was jointly organised by INTAN and IDFR and concluded on 25th February 2012.
In his talk, YBhg. Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari shared his experience and moments in his journey as a diplomatic officer. He started by sharing with the participants his years as a junior diplomat, his various postings and some of the highlights of his career. Within his stories, YBhg. Dato’ Ku Jaafar included the lessons learnt from incidents and events while performing his duties and responsibilities. The participants also had some good laughs when YBhg. Dato’ shared some jokes. At the end of the speech, some participants asked questions and shared some insights. In general, it was an inspirational speech by the guest of honour.
