IDFR and the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) co-organised a Forum on Cultural and Civilisational Diplomacy (CCD): The Framework and Best Practices. Distinguished speakers in the forum included YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Shazelina Zainul Abidin, Director General of IDFR, YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, Rector of IIUM, and Prof. Dr. Hj. Mohamad Kamal Hj. Harun, Chief Executive Officer of Razak School of Government (RSOG) analysed at length the topic at hand. Dr. Haziqah Zulaikha Aris, Deputy Director of the International Institute for Muslim Unity, IIUM, moderated the panel. This was a part of the HEBAT Diplomat Module which was a collaborative effort between IDFR and UIA. The session provided invaluable perspectives on how to leverage both forms of diplomacy in effecting progressive change. It emphasised the significance of having sound knowledge and understanding of culture in navigating not only the intricacies of diplomacy, but also everyday life.
