The Forum concluded with Mr Lamy’s views on the
post-COVID world and the new challenges facing
the world due to the current imbalances between
geopolitics and geo-economics. Additionally, various
stakeholders such as multinational corporations, non-
governmental organisations, and non-state actors have
significant roles in addressing these challenges. He also
noted that whilst the responsibilities of the diplomats
would inevitably increase, the cooperation between
various stakeholders would lead to more desirable
outcomes in attaining global challenges beyond the
capacity of the sovereign states.
