            The Centre for Languages and Cultural Diplomacy     able to comprehend basic conversation using common
            (CLCD), continues to offer language courses –       German phrases.
            Bahasa Melayu, English, German and Arabic. They
            also introduced two programmes on cultural
            diplomacy to provide participants with a better
            understanding of cross-cultural elements, geared
            towards tolerance and moderation. The programmes
            conducted by the Centre are rooted in the primary
            objective of helping participants to broaden their
            personal horizons in languages and cultures and to
            succeed in the global community.

            German Language Course for Diploma in Diplomacy
            2021                                                               German Language Course

            The general objective of the course is to equip the
            participants with sufficient German language proficiency
            to fulfill the basic requirements while socialising or
            working in any German-speaking environment.

            The German language course for the DiD was conducted
            in two cohorts. Cohort 1 was held from 5 January
            to 7 May 2021 with four participants. Cohort 2 was
            conducted from 2 June to 21 October 2021, also
            with four participants. Each cohort was held for five
            months, equivalent to a total of 100 hours each. All the
            participants successfully completed the course and
            exceeded the passing mark in the final examination.


            At the end of the course, the participants were able to
            acquire basic German language skills and able to read
            and understand short and simple texts. They were also
